Harry Styles was less than thrilled with Chloe Fineman’s impression of him, admitting he was "devastated" by the attempt.

Speaking on the red carpet at the SNL 50th anniversary special, Fineman, 36, revealed to comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg that the pop star wasn’t impressed when she mimicked him ahead of his 2019 Saturday Night Live hosting debut.
“My Harry Styles is really bad,” the SNL cast member confessed. “I did it, and he was at the table—so devastated by how bad it was.”
Fineman, known for her celebrity impressions, then offered a quick sample of her take on Styles, stiffly saying, “Anyway, I’m Harry Styles, anyway,” in an exaggerated British accent.
While she’s famous for imitating American stars like Jennifer Coolidge and Drew Barrymore, Fineman has a fascination with British accents. She went viral for her pitch-perfect parody of Nicole Kidman’s AMC commercial and has also impersonated Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Though Styles hosted SNL in 2019—the same year Fineman joined the cast—the two never shared a scene. However, in 2021, she appeared on The Tonight Show in a sketch where Jimmy Fallon, himself a former SNL cast member, played Styles.

In the scene, Fineman, mimicking Waller-Bridge, FaceTimes “Styles,” saying in a posh accent, “Oh, Harry, hi. A FaceTime, quite cheeky. Well, you’ve caught me in the middle of dinner, a cheesy, drippy little slut of a pizza.”
Fineman was among the current SNL cast members celebrating the show’s milestone at the legendary Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center. The event, hosted by Today anchor Willie Geist and SNL alum Leslie Jones, aired live on Sunday.
While Styles wasn’t impersonated during the broadcast, another impression stole the show—Eddie Murphy mimicking Tracy Morgan while standing right next to him. The hilarious moment unfolded during a "Black Jeopardy" sketch led by Kenan Thompson.
Even without an SNL skit about him, Styles' reaction to Fineman’s impression proves that even pop icons aren't immune to a little comedic roasting.
