The sacrifice and sincerity of a teacher will always be remembered but sometimes we don’t see what they have to go through on their own. But the reality is, every teacher wants their students to succeed in life.
And that is exactly what this Malaysian teacher, Hayati Aini Ahmad, did for her students even after she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer two years ago.
The add maths teacher, who recently passed away after losing the battle to breast cancer, uploaded more than 300 videos tutorials on YouTube to help students with the subject, and will continue teaching them long after her death.
Her husband, Abdul Jalil Daud, revealed that she uploaded the videos in Bahasa Melayu to help with students that have difficulties understanding because most of the videos on YouTube are in English.
He also said that she would always try her best to help others more than herself and would always help her students, even after school!
A 34-year-old ex-student of hers also revealed how shocked he and his other friends were when they found out that she had passed away. He remembers how easy it was to understand the subject under her guidance.
“She was very good and sincere in what she does and as her ex-student I will continue sharing the knowledge that she shared through facebook and youtube for the coming generation,” says Ainal, the ex-student.
Hayati was teaching at Bandar Baru Sungai Long Secondary School, but was bedbound since September last year and passed away at the age of 46.
It’s definitely inspiring to have a teacher like Hayati. Rest in peace.
