However, ordering a cuppa at the kopitiam can be slightly confusing if you don’t know the local lingo. There’s Kopi-O, Kopi-Ga, Kopi-C, and more! Which one do you choose?!
Well, we're here to help you up your kopitiam Kopi vocabulary:
1. Kopi

2. Kopi C

If you're thinking maybe Kopi is a bit too sweet/heavy, Kopi C is your best bet. It's roughly 75% coffee mixed with 15% evaporated milk and 10% sugar.
3. Kopi O

If you're not a milk person, Kopi O is your best bet. ‘O’ basically means black or no milk. A Kopi-O is basically 90% coffee and 10% sugar. Some aunties and uncles say that drinking Kopi-O is good for your health! We don't know if that's medically accurate though...
4. Kopi-Kao

Having a Kopi-Kao is basically upping your coffee game with thickened coffee. If you're in need of something strong, Kopi-Kao is your best bet with 80% thick coffee and 20% condensed milk combined.
