Love can make you do incredible things and this Malaysian guy proved just that by working three jobs to surprise his wife with a special gift!
A 25-year-old Malaysian man named Shahrul Amri Ibrahim won the hearts of the internet and inspired many after he worked three jobs to surprise his wife with a laptop!
His 25-year-old wife Nurul Akma Abd Rashid works as a kindergarten teacher and often needs a laptop to prepare exam materials and questions as well as implement online learning and teaching with her students.
So, Shahrul decided to start saving his earnings by working as a biomedical technician, food delivery man and doing business online since last December!
“Even though she never complained or asked, I felt sorry to see the difficulty of having to borrow a laptop from school to complete her assignments sometimes,” he said to Harian Metro.
"It made me think of giving her a laptop to make her work easier.”
He hid the laptop he bought under the pillow and told his wife that there was a surprise in there, and she teared up when she found the laptop gift he had purchased!
“I went to the store looking for a used laptop and it fit my budget of RM900 because I couldn’t afford a new one,” he said.
“On that day, I told her that I’ll be picking her up from work later than the usual 6pm because there was work. I went home first to hide the laptop under the pillow in our room after buying the laptop.”
“When I got home, I told her there was a special surprise in the room before she found the laptop bag under the pillow and cried when she saw what was in the bag.”
Shahrul said that his intention is not to show off the happiness of his household, but to help his wife with her work as a kindergarten teacher. And even though it was only a used laptop, he’s proud to be able to make his wife happy in his own way.
“For me happiness cannot be measured by expensive things and it’s enough if we understand and are able to ease the burden of the people we love.”
"I hope with the laptop, I can raise my wife's spirit in contributing to serving the nation," he said.
