Do you remember the adorable Japanese couple on YouTube, iChang RM, who have always shown their fondness for Malaysia and our food?
Well, this Ramadan, the couple took things to the next level by making their own nasi lemak bungkus and gave them away for free to their Hong Kong neighbours!
The 17-minute video showcased the duo’s whole cooking process, making the nasi lemak and its condiments from scratch – complete with fried ikan bilis, peanuts and the delicious sambal.

A Malaysian resident also commented in the video about how they haven’t had nasi lemak in so long that the couple’s dish made them super excited.
“I was just having lunch but I saw your post and was like ‘Nasi Lemak?!’ so I quickly finished my lunch and rode my bicycle here!” said a Malaysian man who showed his delight to get nasi lemak in the video.
