You might have had a crush on celebrities growing up but, one Japanese girl dreamt of dating a fictional character instead, and its none other than the iconic Japanese character – Godzilla!
A Japanese game show called Tantei! Knight Scoop recently made a girl’s dream come true when they got her a date with Godzilla!
The girl wrote a letter to the Japanese TV show saying it’s her dream to date the monster and she even showed off huge Godzilla figure collection before they surprised her with Godzilla himself.
She was so shocked and even fell down when she saw Godzilla outside her house, but after getting herself together they went on a date, bringing along the bento she made and her grandfather as a chaperon.
The two then went on a date at the Godzilla Museum on Awaji Island as they checked out the displays and she also “fed” Godzilla her bento and some tea.
The date came to an end as they watched the sunset together as that’s when she popped the question and asked Godzilla to marry her!
But Godzilla declined the offer to take her hand in marriage, but the date ended with a memory she’d never forget.
Many netizens were divided after watching the date with many thinking its kind of adorable while others think it’s weird but funny.
Was it romantic? Perhaps. Was it weird? Well, nothing is weird when it’s on Japanese TV!
