Fans of Wednesday, get ready—Jenna Ortega promises the second season of the hit Netflix series will be darker, more intense, and incredibly exciting when it returns later in 2025.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, the 22-year-old actress teased that some of the most gripping scenes come toward the end of the season.
"Some of the footage we shot, especially in the last episode, is some of my favorite from the show," Jenna revealed. "Which is very exciting for me."
Jenna credited executive producer Tim Burton for elevating the series' intensity, noting how his creativity pushed everyone to deliver their best performances.
"Tim really had a ball," she shared. "Everything is very graphic, very exciting, and inspiring. Working with someone like him keeps you engaged every day."
She also admitted that filming such an intense character for eight months isn’t easy, but Burton kept the process exciting and fresh.
"Sometimes it feels like a crawl to the finish line," she said. "But it’s hard to get tired of a character like Wednesday."
Season 2 will also welcome Lady Gaga, whose mystery role was first rumored in November and later confirmed by the singer herself. However, she’s keeping details under wraps.
"I don’t want to give away anything," Gaga told Entertainment Weekly. "I want to keep it extra secret—but I love Jenna, and I really had an amazing time!"
With thrilling new characters, intense cinematic moments, and Tim Burton’s signature dark storytelling, Wednesday Season 2 is shaping up to be a must-watch when it premieres later this year.
