We’re all for leading an active lifestyle, but we’re not going to lie—our favourite marathon to run is of the TV kind. Think setting up a makeshift cave on your bed or couch, and keeping a bunch of snacks at arm’s length. Then, make sure your tablet or phone is signed on to the best internet plan—*cough* Digi’s Super Tererrr plan comes with 12 hours of unlimited all-access Internet for all apps *cough*—and let the binge-watching commence.
Don’t worry if time is not a luxury you have. We’ve compiled a list of TV series that you can complete in just 12 hours or lesser... so you can have the rest of the weekend to assimilate back into your social life and be ‘normal’ again.
#1 Rick & Morty
Number of episodes: 31 (Seasons 1, 2 & 3)
You can kaotim this in: 11 hours and 29 minutes
Yes, adults can watch cartoons too, and there’s none as ridonkulous (in a fun way) as this one. It follows the lives of Rick, a mad scientist, and his overly-nervous grandson, Morty, as they balance typical family politics with not-so-typical inter-universe misadventures.
#2 The Big Bang Theory
Number of episodes: 24 (Season 10)
You can kaotim this in: 8 hours and 48 minutes
This show is the reason why geeks are cool again. If you’ve never heard of Big Bang—though this is difficult to believe—then you’re going to have a pee-in-your-pants-worthy LOL session courtesy of Sheldon’s often non-existent sense of humour! He’s, no doubt, the star of the show!
Number of episodes: 13 (Season 1)
You can kaotim this in: 9 hours and 11 minutes
The characters of Archie comics get a gothic treatment with this show—and no, it’s not just another teen series. Set in the town of Riverdale, it follows the lives of a group of high-schoolers as they navigate the usual drama that comes with being a teen, and get entangled in murder mysteries.
#4 Santa Clarita Diet
Number of episodes: 10
You can kaotim this in: 4 hours and 38 minutes
If you like a side of side-splitting humour with your gory zombie obsession, then Santa Clarita Diet will be a feast (pun totally intended) for you. Charlie’s Angels’ Drew Barrymore plays a wife and mother, who suddenly develops a craving for human flesh much to the shock of her family. Eeek!
#5 Haters Back Off
Number of episodes: 16 (Season 1 & 2)
You can kaotim this in: 7 hours and 40 minutes
YouTube sensation, Miranda Sings, is now the star of her own TV series! Haters Back Off details the talentless wannabe’s adventures as she embarks on an unlikely quest for fame with her signature red lipstick in tow. She’s obnoxious, and definitely not sorry about it… and we love her for that.
#6 The Defenders
Number of episodes: 8
You can kaotim this in: 6 hours and 38 minutes
Not only do Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil have their own TV series, they are now teaming up in The Defenders. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the plot takes you on an adrenaline-filled ride as they take on a common enemy… you know how superhero shows go.
#7 One More Time
Number of episodes: 8
You can kaotim this in: 4 hours and 6 minutes
We can’t write about TV series and not show our KPop friends some love. In this one, L from Infinite stars as Yoo Tan, an indie musician who is forced to relive the same day every day. His girlfriend, Da-in, is played by Yoon So-Hee—you’ll remember her from EXO Music Video Drama.
#8 Stranger Things
Number of episodes: 9 (Season 2)
You can kaotim this in: 6 hours and 37 minutes
Unless you’ve been living in a pineapple under the sea, you must have heard of this pop culture phenomenon. After a successful debut season (which you can also kaotim in less than 12 hours), Season 2 continues to be a smorgasbord of ‘80s reference, and introduces a new monstrous force.
Good things are meant to be shared, so pass on your new TV obsessions to your BFF! With Digi’s Super Tererrr plan, you can call them and talk about the shows all you want because you get 24 hours of unlimited calls every day!
