Some cartoon makes up our childhood and the creator for one of the most well-known Malaysian cartoon has passed.
Kamaruddin Ismail, the creator of the famous Malaysian cartoon show, Keluang Man and Usop Sontorian has passed at the age of 63 after suffering from a heart attack and complications from other ailments.
Better known as Kamn Ismail, the digital animation pioneer passed away at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) at 4.15pm.
"On behalf of Animas, we are saddened by his passing and we extend our condolences to his family," said Amir Hamzah Hashim, the president of Malaysian Animation Society (Animas).
Amir revealed that Kamn has been receiving treatment over the past two months at UMMC.
Truly a pioneer that shaped many Malaysian’s childhood. Thank you and rest in peace, Kamn.
