It can be frustrating when we can’t play the games we want to play but this kid took that up to a whole new level.
A kid in Canada reportedly called the police after the password on the Xbox was changed by his mother.
It seems like the kid didn’t take it too kindly when his mother changed the Xbox password and called 911, the Halton Police revealed.
The official Halton Police tweet wrote, “Never thought we'd have to say this but here we are. Mom changing your Xbox password is NOT a reason to call 911. Yes, this happened.”
It is unclear whether the kid was taken to the police station after the emergency call was made or charged with misdemeanour, but it’s likely that the charges will not happen.
Many netizens started sharing their own stories of how their kids called 911 too, one because she was told to call 911 when she’s “in trouble” and she called 911 when she was put in a timeout.
Another user shared how her son called 911 because “there’s no popcorn left” when she wasn’t home and came back to the police at her doorstep.
Although some found the incident funny, many reminded that calling the emergency line for a non-emergency situation might stop others that are in an actual emergency, get the help they need.
Also, it’s a crime.
