Not all of us have the luxury of spending money on birthdays and one man’s children who couldn’t afford balloons for their dad’s birthday came up with their own DIY balloons.
A woman in Philippines recently shared some heart-warming photos of her neighbours’ kids’ way of celebrating their dad’s birthday and it went viral!
The kids couldn’t afford to buy balloons for their father’s birthday so they came up with a way to create their own makeshift balloon by blowing up plastic bags and hanging them in their home.
They even wrote happy birthday on the plastic bags and made a small cake for their dad!
“The children prepared a surprise for when their father comes home… it’s truly touching,” the caption wrote.
She said that the children had no extra money to buy balloons so they got the plastic bags, tied them inside the house to act as balloons and wrote “Happy Birthday, Papa” with coloured pencils.
She also revealed that despite the family’s hardship they still live life positively and the birthday celebration for their father is filled with celebratory feels.
Many netizens were touched by the kids’ actions with many saying “money can’t buy happiness” and praised them for their pure hearted love.
They also said that the kids are an inspiration and have made them more grateful for what they have.
The father is definitely lucky to have such lovely kids who would go out of their way to surprise him for his birthday!
