Move over, Kris Jenner—Kim Kardashian is stepping into the family tradition of managing her kids' careers. The SKIMS founder recently discussed how she handles her 11-year-old daughter North West’s growing showbiz ventures on an episode of World's First Podcast with Sara and Erin Foster.

Kim shared that she and her family take a hands-on approach when it comes to North’s professional opportunities. “She’ll get an offer to do a photo shoot or something, and we really sit and talk about it as a family. Like, ‘Should she do this? What’s too much? What’s not?’” Kim explained.

When Erin Foster asked if Kim has been able to protect North’s childhood while growing up in the spotlight, Kim admitted that it’s a tricky balancing act. "I can't, like...they're already in it, right? Because of who their parents are," Kim said. "I try to protect that and be mindful of them being their own people, not feeling like they have to be in our shadows."

Kim, who shares North, Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5) with ex Kanye West, emphasized that she doesn’t pressure North into taking on projects like rapping on FKA Twigs’ song Childlike Things or appearing on the cover of Interview Magazine. Instead, Kim said her daughter is eager to pursue these opportunities on her own.

"When these things come about, she wants to do it so badly," Kim explained. "She wants to learn, even if it’s not her craft. She genuinely wants to do it. The other kids will get voiceovers, and then they’re so proud of each other when they do it and want to support each other."

Despite her busy schedule, Kim makes sure to carve out time for her kids, especially when North takes on creative projects. “When they work and I have to be there, I have to see every last thing,” Kim said. “If North has something and I have to take off filming to do something with her, it just has to be a family decision and really important to her.”

While Kim enjoys supporting North’s passion for the spotlight, she confessed that the role of a "momager" isn’t one she feels completely ready for. "There’s so much that I’ve stopped because it’s too much," she revealed. “I’m really not ready to be a momager, and I’m kind of forced into this.”
