A video has recently popped up on social media showing a thoughtful act of kindness by one of our own that has warmed netizens’ hearts.
A Malaysian solider on duty during the Movement Contro Order was seen helping out a mak cik on a wheelchair who was on her way to the market to buy her necessities.
The mak cik unfortunately did not have a face mask or gloves on and the soldier very kindly decided to help out and amend the situation.

Khairul Zulkefli, who uploaded the short video on Facebook wrote, “This mak cik has a disability and she wanted to go to NSK supermarket but she was not wearing a mask. So we gave a mask and gloves to her. She was heading to the shops by herself, without anyone helping her. This mak cik could only buy groceries after receiving the BPN payout. Godspeed.”
The post also included ways in which the public could help out the mak cik if they wished to.
In the video, the mak cik was worried that she was in trouble and explained to the officer that she was just heading to grab a few items.
After placing the mask on properly, the army officer reassured the mak cik that she was not doing anything wrong.
Netizens have been showering the army officer with praise and some are even going out of their way to help out the mak cik in these difficult times.
