It’s hard to move on after losing someone but this grieving mother was recently given the chance to reunite with her deceased daughter and have the closure she needed.

A Korean TV special called Meeting You recently aired a documentary showing a mother interacting with a VR recreation of her daughter Nayeon, which the team spent eight months creating.
The mother Jang Ji-sung had lost her daughter to an incurable disease at the age of seven back in 2016.

She was given a headset and pair of haptic gloves that enabled her to virtually play with her daughter and hear an approximation of her voice.

Tears was streaming down the mother’s face as the virtual reality daughter says, “I missed mom a lot” which she replied saying “I missed you, too” and Nayeon’s father, brother and sister who were watching from the side couldn’t help but to tear up too.

The mother celebrated the daughter’s birthday, and at the end of the journey, Nayeon said that she was tired and lay down to sleep and the mother bid her goodbye.

'Three years later, I now think I should love her more than miss her and feel sick, so that I can be confident when I meet her later. I hope many people will remember Nayeon after watching the show,' the mother wrote on her blog.
