Durian is definitely one of Malaysia’s favourite fruits and while most of us love eating the King of Fruits, many foreigners hate it. But Malaysians are not okay the way Koreans are eating the fruit!

A Twitter video of a Korean TV show recently went viral that shows how the guests cut the durian in half, splitting the seeds in the process.

And while many guests on the show complimented the tasty fruit, one can be heard saying that it tastes like pineapple!

Another user then replied to the tweet with another video from the episode where the guests were eating the durian… but not the fruit, They were eating the durian skin!

The guests then commented on how the durian skin tastes good and that it tastes like chestnut… one even said, “if durian tasted like this, I would’ve eaten it.”

And while many netizens are in shock over how these Koreans were eating the fruit, some defended them and said that durians are rare in South Korea and it’s expensive too.

“Durians sold here are expensive at 50,000 won (RM170) for one fruit. Moreover, the ones sold here are not the Malaysian variant but are imported from Thailand.”

Pictures and videos of Americans cutting jackfruit like watermelon slices also went viral earlier this year.
