Spotted: A surprise reunion that had all the Upper East Siders buzzing.
Kristen Bell and Leighton Meester delighted Gossip Girl fans everywhere when they reprise their iconic roles at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The duo took the stage for a hilarious skit, proving they still know exactly what you love.

As host of the Netflix-broadcast ceremony, Bell kicked things off in true Gossip Girl fashion, narrating from the audience:
"Hey, everyone, Gossip Girl here," she teased. "Jeff Goldblum has a wicked appetite, and a peek behind the curtain reveals he likes his green eggs with ham."
But the playful exposé didn’t stop there. Bell went on to “spill” about another A-lister in the crowd.
"And look who it is," she continued. "Not-so-lonely boy Timothée Chalamet sitting next to a hot steak—medium rare au poivre with a side of broc..."
Before she could finish, the camera landed on Bell and Meester, revealing their playful scheme.
"Wait, Leighton, none of this is gossip," Bell scolded her co-star. "It's all food!"
Meester, caught mid-bite, responded through a mouthful of dinner roll: "I'm sorry… I'm just really hungry."
Bell wrapped up the bit with a nod to the night’s honorees. "The popes in Conclave were better at gossiping than us," she joked. "I think we should pass the torch."
Meester agreed: "Amen."
Luckily for fans, this isn’t the last time these two will share the screen. Earlier this week, it was announced that Meester is joining season two of Netflix’s hit comedy Nobody Wants This, starring none other than her real-life husband, Adam Brody.

And Meester fully embraces Brody’s fan-favorite role as the "hot rabbi" in the series.
“He is able to embody that because he's hot, OK? I said it,” she recently told E! News. “And also because he's truly a wonderful person who was able to bring so much humor and humanity to that role and really make that character his own.”
Looks like there’s plenty more to look forward to from these Gossip Girl alums. XOXO.
