A devoted husband proved that love prevails even in death after he arranged gifts to celebrate his wife for the coming years before he passed away.
Alyssa Mendoza revealed in an emotional Facebook post, how her late father’s love for her mother lives on even after he passed away after she received instructions from her dad 10 months after he died to arrange for an anniversary surprise for her mom.
She revealed that she was in disbelief after she received an email from her late father at 3am and was initially too overwhelmed to open it.
“I received a scheduled email from my dad,” Alyssa wrote. “At first, I was scared to open it because, well who wouldn’t be scared to get and open an email from someone who passed away 10 months ago.”
But when she finally opened it, she found out that the email contained instructions from her father to carry out his plan for what would have been her parents' 25th anniversary, and surprise her mother.
“Alyssa, follow my instructions in this e-mail completely and carefully. I’m sending this to you in the off chance that I’m not in my right mind or worse, gone. I hope not,” the email read.
Her father had planned everything and paid a florist to deliver flowers to her mother for every birthday, Valentine’s Day and wedding anniversary for the years to come and even wrote a letter to his wife.
The daughter also revealed that her father had picked specific type of flowers that are special to her parents and said, “my dad’s love for my mom IS definitely immeasurable.”
Aly followed her father’s instructions and arranged for the anniversary surprise with everything from the flowers, food, a trip to the salon for her to do “whatever she does there on the weekends.”
The daughter arranged everything before her mother woke up and managed to surprise her with flowers, photos attached to helium balloons and music in the background and the mom can be seen tearing up from the anniversary surprise.
“Of course my mom cried because she misses the love of her life but I could see how happy everything made her because she knew that everything was planned by my dad.”
Her father’s devoted love brought many to tears and proved that love lives on even in death. He also included a line at the end of the email for the daughter saying, “BE GOOD AND BEHAVE. DON’T DO ANYTHING STUPID” and ended the email with “thank you. I love you baby.”
“Even if they’re not physically together, even though he’s no longer here, he was still able to surprise and make my mom happy. Not even death could stop my dad from loving my mom and showing her how much she meant to him,” Aly wrote in the post.
It’s definitely a tear-jerking story and but the late father’s love was definitely felt by many of us reading their story.
