TC Candler and The Independent Critics has been an internet phenomenon for years with their 100 Most Beautiful/Handsome Face list and this year’s list has been released!
Many K-pop stars have been listed in the 100 Most Beautiful Faces list, with BLACKPINK’s Lisa topping the list at second place, with fashion model Yael Shelbia taking the #1 spot as the “most beautiful face” of 2020!
YouTube star PewDiePie also went viral after being named as the “most handsome face” of 2020 after beating celebrities like Henry Cavill, BTS’ Jungkook, Chris Hemsworth and BTS’ Kim Tae-hyung aka V in the list.
The rest of the BLACKPINK members are also listed among the “100 most beautiful faces” list, and other K-Pop stars from (G)-Idle, APINK, Red Velvet, Twice and more!
Members from K-Pop bands like EXO, NCT, ASTRO, SEVENTEEN, Monsta X, Wanna One, GOT7 and more were also included in the “most handsome face” list.
Zayn Malik and Harry Styles were also included in the list at the 21st and 28th spot respectively.
The list sparked mixed reactions on the internet, with many congratulating their favourite idols for being in the list with many others think their favourite celebrity should be placed higher in the list.
TC Candler described the annual beauty rankings as a list that’s not a “popularity contest and is most definitely not country specific.”
“It is not about the sexiest body or the most famous celebrity. Rather, the list attempts to inform & broaden public opinion instead of reflecting it,” the website description wrote.
“The Independent Critics are a diverse group of approximately 20 people living in various parts of the world, organized by TC Candler, who search far and wide, listening to the many millions of suggestions submitted by the public over the past couple of decades, and they then put together a list representative of the modern ideal of worldwide beauty.”
