Movies from James Wan’s Conjuring Universe are definitely amongst the scariest horror movies that we’ve ever watched. Especially the ones following the story of paranormal investigators, Lorraine and Ed Warren.
The real Lorraine Warren, that the main character is based off, has just passed away at the age of 92.
The paranormal investigator and her late husband Ed Warren, who died in 2006 have investigated over 10,000 paranormal cases, including the ones that inspired The Conjuring, Annabelle, and Amityville Horror.
Lorraine and Ed also founded The New England Society for Psychic Research (NESPR) in 1952 in Connecticut, whose Facebook page announced, "the NESPR team regretfully announces the passing of our loving teacher, mentor, friend, mother, Lorraine."
Lorraine’s son-in-law said that Lorraine “died peacefully in her sleep at home.”
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, who portrayed Lorraine and Ed Warren in the Conjuring Universe movies also wrote on Twitter in wake of Lorraine’s death.
Rest in peace, Lorraine.
Fact: Did you know that the real life Annabelle is actually a ragged doll? Just letting you know in case you were wondering.
