After being left at a friend’s place because their house was undergoing renovations, a young Golden Retriever named Ping An missed her owners so much that she made the 100km journey back to them.
Ping An, whose name means “safe and sound” in Mandarin, sneaked out of the friend’s house in Nantong and made the 14 day journey back to her home in Qidong, near the Yellow Sea.

LADBible shared that the Golden Retriever had spent four months at her temporary caretakers’ home but she simply missed her family too much, she made her way home.
Ping An was unable to locate her owner’s home and she was captured on camera by the city office workers, lying down in front of a building with injured paws from her long journey.
The workers posted pictures of the Golden Retriever on WeChat and the images made its way around until it reached her owners!

“Ping An, you’ve worked hard,” her owners said after reuniting with the doggo. “You just stay home from now on. [We] would never send you away.”

We definitely don’t deserve our pets! We’re happy Ping An was finally reunited with her owners!
