Some of us might have gotten the things we wanted like a gaming console from our parents as a gift but one Malaysian boy decided to work for it instead!
10-year-old Danish Izzudin recently went viral after his older sister Sally Nur Dinie tweeted a picture of him holding bottles of mango juice that he made in order to buy a PlayStation 4 of his own!
“My 10-year-old brother has started selling pure mango juice because he wants to buy a PS4. So I helped him find a customer earlier and they ordered six bottles. Just look at the big smile on his face,” she wrote in the tweet.
Danish initially asked his mother for a PS4 but failed to achieve the conditions that his mother set, but did not give up and decided to start his business after his father suggested selling mango juice!
“He’s wanted one since last year but our mother said that he has to get the best results in his exams first and he didn't manage to,” Sally said to mStar.
“So, our dad gave him the idea to make and sell mango juice since our mother has a mango pickle business. Danish was so excited about the idea because it would help him get the PS4 a little bit faster.”
Many netizen are impressed by Danish’s determination and praised him, many are showing their support by buying his mango juice!
“Orders have increased ever since I posted about him on Twitter. There are even people outside of Selangor now offering to pay for drinks, up to 100 orders even. They ask us to just give it away to other people.”
“I was very touched because many Malaysians are willing to support the business despite the Movement Control Order economic situation.” she said.
The tweet went so viral that it also caught the attention of national footballer Muhammad Safawi Rasid and decided to sponsor him with a PS4 because he can relate to the boy’s situation!
“It used to be hard for me to get things I dreamt of having when I was a child. My family had more important things to spend money on, so I would save up my Raya money to get the things I wanted,” Safawi said.
Besides the mango juice that Danish blends by hand himself, the family also sells mango pickle that looks as tasty as the mango juice!
It’s certainly impressive to see the determination of a 10-year-old boy that’s willing to work hard to buy what he wants!
