Wearing a face mask is the norm now and while many of us are bringing a bag/holder for when we have to take off our masks to eat, this man decided to put the lives of others at risk!
A post recently went viral on social media showing a man placing his face mask on a cutlery holder while eating at a restaurant.
The caption of the post wrote, “all the efforts for MCO were all wasted” as Malaysians shared the act of the irresponsible citizen.
The photos started circulating the internet, with many Malaysians criticising the man’s actions and the consequences it would bring if he happened to be a COVID-19 carrier.
With the recent discovery from researchers that found that COVID-19 can survive on banknotes, glass, and stainless steel over for up to 28 days, it’s truly terrifying to think of what effects reckless actions like these would bring to the nation.
Others also started sharing their experiences at several restaurants where the customers and the staff weren't following the SOPs.
Many other restaurants have been following strict SOPs for their customers’ safety, but no matter what, we as citizens should do our part to prevent the spread of the virus too!
