It’s rare to see Southeast Asian characters being featured in games but a new game not only features a SEA character, but the character is also a Malaysian!
Ubisoft’s new game, Hyper Scape features a Malaysian woman as a playable character named Noor Azimah binti Yusof, also known as Noor Casulink!
The character is a 23-year-old that’s described as “a bright and stylish new light in the world of Crown Rush streaming” and called the “face of Southeast Asia”, according to the game’s Wiki page.
“User Noor, though best known as a fashionista, makes most of her income from variety streaming, which is highly competitive and dependent on the performer's ability to distinguish themselves.”
The new free-to-play first-person shooter battle royale game is set in the year 2054 where players engage in close-quarters, fast-paced and vertical matches to become the next global Battle Royale superstar!
The game’s other international characters like Niro Takeshi from Japan, Kehinde Adichie from Nigeria, Josephina De La Cruz from Chile and more!
The character got the attention of many Malaysian gamers and users have been posting about Noor on the internet!
It’s certainly nice to see some Malaysian representation in an international game and hope to see more in the future!
