Imagine buying a bun that you’ve been craving to eat and salivating until you’re finally ready to eat them, only to break your teeth when you do.

That’s exactly what happened to this man from Singapore after he bit into a stone in the butterfly bun that he bought!

The 34-year-old man was finally enjoying his bun after hearing a loud cracking sound in his mouth and realised that he had broken two teeth after biting into a stone the size of his fingernail in the bun.

“The broken teeth area immediately started bleeding and I rushed to the toilet to rinse my mouth after picking up my two tooth, and then went to complain at the bun store,” he said.

He had forgotten to take a picture because he was too angry, but was promised to be accompanied to the dentist the next day by one of the managers after his complaint.

However, no one showed up when he went to the dentist the following day and no one picked up his phone calls.

He decided to lodge a complaint to the headquarters instead but still didn’t get any news. Then he decided to lodge a police report instead.

The man revealed that the broken teeth were implants that he had got from a corrective dental procedure in China and cost about RM9000 – RM12,000 (S$3,000 to S$4,000).

The dentist also concluded that it’s not likely to have his teeth fixed and he might have to put in dentures instead.

The Singapore Food Agency is reportedly looking into the matter.
