We’ve all tried arcade games like the claw machine and failed miserably at it, but this man would not let it go after losing and called the police!

A Japanese man recently tweeted about how he played the crane game (similar to the claw machine but with two prongs) in Japan, and lost even after trying 200 times and he decided to call the police because of this!

“I couldn’t win at all so now the police are here,” he wrote in the tweet with a picture of two police officers standing by the crane game machine.

And to investigate the machine, a staff member from the Sega arcade can be seen trying out the crane machine while the officers observed from the side.

“Uh, the police are investigating the staff member who still hasn’t won yet,” he wrote in a follow-up post and the staff member apparently tried another 300 times but lost too.

The staff was only able to catch one in the end when the prizes were moved to an easier location and the Japanese man won after playing with the new prizes' position too.

The incident gained many netizen’s attention in Japan and Sega’s public relations department had to release a statement the next day saying, “As a whole, crane games are meant to be enjoyed as a way for customers to try their skill and luck, and played knowing that when they put money in, a prize may not necessarily come out.”

“Of course, we strive to have our staff be aware of customers’ situations, so if something seems off you are welcome to call them over, and have them assist you a little bit. That is a fundamental operation of our company.”

It is unsure whether the Japanese man got his money back after the incident but we can only imagine how much it cost him to play 200 times on the crane game!

Have you ever won playing a claw machine or crane game before? Let us know your experience and how much you spent!
