A 36-year-old man recently collapsed and died during a job interview and it was found that it had everything to do with him being overworked at his previous job.

According to reports, one minute the man was answering questions, and the next, he was slumped onto the desk in front of him.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Hangzhou, China, but unfortunately, it was too late to save him.

Despite all the doctors’ best efforts, they could not save him from the sudden cardiac arrest.

China Press reported that when the man had lost consciousness, the interviewers stepped in to check on him and found that he had lost control of his bladder. They then called for an ambulance and accompanied the man to the hospital.

Speaking to The Paper, one of the interviewers said, “We heard that he often worked overtime in his previous job, which was why he was out looking for a new one.”

The 36-year-old was also reported to be struggling with a history of high blood pressure.

The doctor, Dr. Shi Hong Wei, told China Press that patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension have a higher risk of cardiac arrest. However, a sudden cardiac arrest may also happen to those who do not display any symptoms.

If you’re struggling to maintain a healthy work-life balance, maybe it’s time to start taking a good look at what’s happening in your life. Work is important, but be don’t overwork yourself to the point of no return.
