If you think you’re a movie buff, this guy has you BEAT.
A man from Florida has set a world record after watching Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times in cinemas…and this is not his first world record!

Ramiro Alanis first broke the record for “most cinema productions attended of the same film” back in 2019 after successfully watching Avengers: Endgame 191 times but he lost the title to Arnaud Klein who watched Kaamelott: First Installment 204 times.
And just like every superhero movie… Ramiro did not give up.

From December 16th 2021 until March 15th 2022, he spent a total of 720 hours or 30 days watching the latest Spider-Man movie.
In the first couple of weeks since the movie’s release, he watched five back-to-back screenings every day.
At the same time, Ramiro had to honour the terms to break the record in which “the movie must be watched independently of any other activity” which meant that he could not take a nap, use his phone or even go to the bathroom while watching the film.
And of course, Ramiro still had to juggle his real life priorities of family and work in between the viewings.
Ramiro shared that he spent around $3,400 (RM14,442) to set the record and at this point, he told Guinness World Records that he could “pretty much recite the dialogue along with the movie”.
Honestly when you watch a movie that many times, we wouldn’t doubt it…
Ramiro shared that he pursued the record in honor of his late grandmother who was his “number 1 supporter”.
Thanks to the record holder and many other fans and viewers around the world, Spider-Man: No Way Home has garnered over $1 Billion in global sales and is currently the 2nd most profitable Marvel movie, just behind Avengers: Endgame.
How many times have you watched Spider-Man: No Way Home or do you have any other Marvel installments’ dialogue memorised by heart? Let us know in the comments!
