Having mosquitoes and flies in your home can be super annoying sometimes and while you might go the extra length to get rid of them by chasing them around, this man’s house exploded in his attempt to get rid of a fly!

A man in his 80s from France reportedly blew up part of his house after getting irritated by a fly as he was getting dinner ready.

Annoyed by the buzzing fly, the man decided to use his electric fly swat to get rid of it, but little did he know, a gas canister nearby was leaking, and it leading to an explosion!

The explosion caused by the reaction between the device and leaking gas destroyed his kitchen and part of the roof of his house.

The man managed to escape from his home in the Parcoul-Chenaud village in time and only sustained burns to his hands… but it is unsure whether the fly actually died in the explosion.

He has since checked into a local campsite while his family members repair the now uninhabitable house.

A man in California also made headlines previously in 2018 after burning down his parent’s house trying to use a blowtorch to attack a Black Widow spider infestation.

We’re glad that the man made it out in time safely! Hopefully he won’t be bothered by flies after the tragic incident.
