Manny Pacquiao Is Coming To Malaysia To Take On Lucas Matthysse

Boxing promoter Oscar De La Hoya confirmed the fight by tweeting on Monday. Pacquaio, 39 will be going up against Lucas Matthysse, Argentina’s World Boxing Association Welterweight Champion.

Signed, sealed, and delivered: Proud to officially announce that WBA welterweight world champion @MatthysseLucas will put his title on the line against @mannypacquiao in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia on Saturday night July 14 (US time).

The venue of the boxing match hasn’t been announced yet, but it would be poetic if they held it at Stadium Merdeka. After all, that was where the last epic boxing match was held in 1975, when late boxing great Muhammad Ali had his match against European champion, Joe Bugner.
