Recently, reports confirmed that an upcoming Parasite-remake series will be making its way to us from HBO.
While fans may not be estatic about the upcoming series, new reports have given us something to look forward to.
According to reports, our favourite Hulk actor, Mark Ruffalo could be starring in the upcoming series that has director Bong Joon Ho set to helm the project.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe actor has responded to the rumours circulating his involvement in the upcoming project, and has seemingly confirmed his role in Bong Joon Ho’s six-hour-long project.
“We’ve met,” said Mark to Comic Book. “I love [Bong Joon-ho], I love that movie.”
“I might be playing the father in Parasite on a television show,” he added. “I would love to do it. We’re sort of waiting on the script and all that, but yeah, that’s pretty much true and in the works.”

Mark, of course, has never been shy about his love and admiration for the Korean director and his movies. The actor noted that it would be an “honour” to have a role in one of Boon Joon Ho’s projects.
“That’d be amazing,” the actor previously said about the rumours. “[Bong Joon Ho is] amazing. I love him.”
“His speech last night [at the Oscars] was incredible,” he continued. “He made an amazing movie, and I’d be honoured to be able to play something in that. It’s so beautiful. You know how it is nowadays, nothing’s done until it’s done but maybe one day. It’d be cool to be a part of.”

According to the director, the HBO limited series will be a six-hour-long project that will differ from the original work and explore more of Parasite’s story.
“I had all these key ideas accumulated from when I started writing the script,” Bong Joon Ho told The Wrap. “I just couldn’t include all those ideas in the two-hour running time of the film, so they’re all stored in my iPad and my goal with this limited series is to create a six-hour-long film.”
“For example, when the original housekeeper Mun Gwang comes back in the late-night, something happened to her face,” he continued. “Even her husband asked about it but she never answered.”
“I know why she had the bruises on her face,” the director explained. “I have a story for that and aside from that why does she know the existence of this bunker? What relationship does she have with that architect to know of this bunker? So I have all these hidden stories that I have stored.”

This casting however has to be taken with a pinch of salt. While Mark may have seemingly confirmed his role in the upcoming series, HBO has yet to release any official announcement.
Tilda Swinton has also been rumoured to be in talks to join the series.
