Marvel Fans Think Deadpool Would Be Best To Take Over Stan Lee's Cameos

Now that we've said goodbye, forever to Marvel legend, Stan Lee, one big thing will be missed. His cameos.

Stan's first cameo dated all the way back to 1989 where he first appeared as a juror in The Trial of The Incredible Hulk. Since then, he's made a total of 57 cameos in the Marvel universe!

Following the news of his passing, fans expressed their sadness over not being able to see Stan's iconic cameos any more after Avengers 4 - which he had already filmed for. Many questioned if Stan's legacy of cameos would be continued by someone else or if Marvel would find a different way to pay homage to the superhero creator.

Although we know that none will ever be able to replace Stan, some fans have suggested that Deadpool should take on the role. Reddit user "metalbrowser23" recently shared an old post in support that said, "when Stan Lee leaves us all, Deadpool should do cameos in all Marvel movies in place of him."

The post received mixed reactions from fans, some in support of the idea and some strongly against it.

User, "LTMG" was in total support, offering his/her opinion:

"It’s not about replacing him. It’s not that they need a cameo. It’s his creation doing exactly what fits it, and doing it as a tribute to him.

There aren’t many ways to continue that legacy and acknowledging it within the actual movie, without blatantly saying his name or anything.

Deadpool acting his cameo would be the perfect blend between breaking the fourth wall, nice thing to look forward to in ever movie, actual movie plot, and, most importantly, paying tribute to Stan. I think it’s a great idea."

'MemeJuiceCo' offered their insight saying, "I both do and don’t want that because A. It’d be a good way to carry on his legacy of cameos but B. No one could ever replace the real Stan."

Another user suggested one of Stan's own creation to take over his role, Spider-Man! 'Lamplorde' wrote:

"I love Deadpool, and Ryan Reynolds, but I feel Stan never really had as big a love for DP as the audience does. Spiderman was his baby, so if anyone should do cameos in his place, it should be his most beloved creation."

And then there are others like 'EasyBleezy' who knows that no one can replace the legend.

"No… I love Deadpool but no one should take Lee’s place come on guys enough!" they wrote.
