The movement control order (MCO) in Malaysia will be extended for two more weeks.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that MCO in all states will be extended to 18 February except Sarawak.
A conditional movement control order (CMCO) will be enforced in Sarawak.
Cross-state and social activities are still not allowed during the implementation period of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 that's been extended until 18 February.
The decision was made due to the increase in daily COVID-19 cases and clusters involving cross-state activities.
"I want to inform that every decision made is based on data that has already been released by the Ministry of Health (MOH),” said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri in his press conference.
However, SOPs related to the economic sector will be relaxed or tightened depending on the approval of MKN and MOH.
