If you’re a long time Korean drama fan, you’d definitely know the hit series Princess Hours, and now, the drama is getting a remake!
The mega hit series, Princess Hours also known as Goong is officially getting a remake after 15 years.
The rights owner for the series, Jae Dam Media, will be partnering up with the production house of the original series, Group 8, for the new remake.
The original series was first aired in 2006 and tells the story of a crown prince that tied the knot with a commoner in a fictional South Korea that’s still ruled by a monarchy in the 21st century.
The marriage that was arranged by their grandparents started off with no love, but the two gradually developed feelings for each other as a series of love triangles and palace politics proceed.
The original palace drama starred Yoon Eun Hye, Joo Ji Hoon, Song Ji Hyo, and Kim Jung Hoon which garnered many fans over the years.
Fans have been asking for a sequel series and a remake for years now and they are finally getting what they want!
