Rick and Morty is definitely one of the most out of the world tv series out there and it wouldn’t have been what it is today without producer J. Michael Mendel.
Michael Mendel is confirmed to have passed away at the age of 54 due to natural causes at his home.
Rick and Morty’s co-creator Justin Roiland wrote a tribute on social media saying he’s “devastated” and heartbroken over the news.
Michael won four Emmy Awards in the past for his work on Rick and Morty and The Simpsons. He also worked on The Critic; The PJs; The Oblongs; The Pitts; Kid Notorious; Drawn Together; Sit Down, Shut Up; Good Vibes; and Napoleon Dynamite.
Adult Swim also shared a statement on the passing of the animation producer and fans were also deeply saddened by the news.
Your legacy will forever live on in your work.
Rest in peace, Michael Mendel.
