Malaysian-born Hollywood star Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh paid her final respects today to the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, April 14.
The Academy Award-winning actress, who received the Oscar for Best Actress at the 95th Academy Awards, was seen arriving at the Main Prayer Hall of Masjid Negara at around 11:40 a.m.
Yeoh, originally from Ipoh, Perak, entered the hall wearing a headscarf and dressed in black attire as a sign of mourning.
Alongside Yeoh, a number of national leaders, foreign diplomats, close friends, and members of the public were also present to honor the former Prime Minister.

Among the attendees were former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Semporna MP Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal, Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng, and former Director-General of Health Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Also in attendance was former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The public tribute session took place from 10 AM to 1 PM.
The remains of Malaysia’s fifth Prime Minister will be laid to rest at Makam Pahlawan, Masjid Negara, following the conclusion of the Zohor prayers today.
Yesterday, the government announced that Tun Abdullah would be accorded a State Funeral with full honors.
Fondly known as "Pak Lah," the beloved statesman passed away peacefully at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur at the age of 85.
