After nearly a decade in the Upside Down, Millie Bobby Brown is officially saying goodbye to Stranger Things—and it hasn’t been easy.

The 21-year-old, who has played Eleven since she was just 12, recently opened up about wrapping the beloved Netflix series during an exclusive interview with E! News at the premiere of her new film, The Electric State.
“It was really upsetting on the last day,” Millie admitted to E! News' Will Marfuggi. “Saying goodbye to my favorite crew members, my favorite cast, my favorite directors—it was heartbreaking.”
But despite the tearful farewell, she’s incredibly grateful for the experience. “What a wonderful, wonderful production that I was able to be a part of,” she added.
While leaving Stranger Things behind is bittersweet, Millie is already diving into exciting new projects—starting with The Electric State, where she stars alongside Chris Pratt.
And if you’re wondering what it’s like working with the Guardians of the Galaxy star, Millie has nothing but praise.
“Going into this, I already had huge respect for him,” she shared. “He has this presence—everybody loves Chris Pratt. He is a pro—I have never heard one bad thing about him.”

But beyond his Hollywood reputation, it was his energy on set that truly stood out to Millie.
“He brought a smile, a laugh, every day,” she gushed. “He knew everyone’s name. For me, it was a huge inspiration for who I want to be as a person and an actor.”
Millie isn’t the only one feeling nostalgic about the show’s final season.
Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, also got emotional when filming wrapped in December.
“We just wrapped Stranger Things Season 5,” Finn shared on Instagram. “I’m still in shock. We shot it for a year, and I’ll miss all of my friends and our characters terribly.”
The 22-year-old actor even posted throwback photos of the cast—including Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, and Natalia Dyer—showcasing how much they’ve grown since the early days of the series.

“When I think of the show, I picture this first photo,” Finn wrote. “A bunch of goofy young people making something they think is cool but really have no clue what’s to come. I feel like we’re still those people, and I’m lucky to still stand beside them today.”
And with a final tease, he added, “I hope you’ll love this season as much as I do. See you all next year.”
While Stranger Things fans wait for the epic final season to drop, they can catch Millie in The Electric State, premiering on Netflix March 14.
One chapter may be closing, but for Millie Bobby Brown, this is just the beginning.
