Face it, your phone has probably been telling you it’s out of space for a while now, and it’s probably because there’s thousands of pictures in it that you just can’t seem to part with. We get you, we have them too.

And according to a new research, Malaysians are the second worst nation of photo hoarders.

A new research from antivirus firm, Avast, revealed that Malaysians keep an average of 1,300 photos stored on their phones which puts us at second place behind South Koreans who store an average of 1,407 pictures.

This research is based on “anonymised data from six million users, analysing three billion images between December 2018 to June 2019,” The Star reported.

Switzerland comes in at number three with an average of 1,237 pictures; South Africa in fourth with 1,190 pictures; and Austria in fifth place with 1,172 pictures.

The research shows that gender also plays a small role in photo hoarding habits. Women on average store 24% more photos than men, or 1,053 photos versus 851.

Apparently, age also is a factor in photo hoarding, the research shows. Those between 25-34 store the most pictures with an average of 1,067 photos; and those between 35-44 store an average of 1,050 pictures.

Surprisingly, those between 18-24 keep the least amount of photos with an average of 836 per person.

We’re not really surprised to be the second worst nation of photo hoarders… We definitely know someone who has thousands of pictures stored on their phone.
