There are few cartoon series that makes us think, “uhm what did I just watch?” after the episode ends and these two of those cartoon series, that do just that, have movies coming out!
Nickelodeon has just announced that two movies, Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling and Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus have been acquired by Netflix.
Rocko’s Modern Life tells the story of Rocko who tries to fit in with his lunatic neighbours after moving to the U.S. from Australia. The movie, Static Cling, will bring the characters back to Earth after being lost in outer space since 1996.
Nickelodeon initially teased the movie back in 2017, but without an official release date. The upcoming movie sees Rocko having trouble fitting in the 21st century with smartphones, energy drinks and social media in the movie and fans have been dying to see the release!
Invader Zim is an alien that got sent to infiltrate earth because his leaders thinks he‘s annoying and he posed as a human child on earth. Only his archnemesis, Dib, knows that he’s an actual alien, but nobody believes him.
In the movie, Enter The Florpus, ZIM discovers his leaders have no intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in his own amazingness for the first time in his amazing life, which is the big break his human nemesis Dib has been waiting for.
Both movies are written and directed by their series’ creator and will feature most of their original voice casts!
If you haven’t heard of these cartoons before just think about Adventure Time… but a hundred times crazier and more mind blowing.
We definitely can’t wait for these movie releases! What is your fav Nickelodeon cartoon series?
