Nicola Coughlan has found her own leading man.
After months of speculation, the Bridgerton star confirmed her relationship with Renegade Nell actor Jake Dunn with a sweet Instagram tribute.
Nicola, 38, shared a candid snap of Jake in a white T-shirt on her Instagram Stories, captioning it with a simple red heart emoji and "Happy Birthday."
The post comes nearly four months after the couple was spotted walking hand-in-hand in London following a cozy date night. They also fueled romance rumors last August when they attended Mitski’s set at the All Points East festival together.
While Nicola has mostly kept her personal life private, fans once speculated she might be dating her Bridgerton co-star Luke Newton. However, she shut down the rumors, emphasizing their close friendship.
"A lot of people really want me to marry Luke," she told TIME in October. "But we have this gorgeous friendship... Isn't it lovely that a man and woman can have that sort of relationship?"
Luke echoed the sentiment, saying their strong bond made filming Bridgerton's romantic moments much easier.
"You'd think filming a scene like that with a friend of four years would be daunting," he told E! News in May. "But actually, it was reassuring."
Now, Nicola has officially set the record straight—with Jake Dunn as her real-life leading man.
