In our time, we’ve come across many unique names that have been given to newborns.
From “Department of Communications, Informatics and Statistics’” to “Google” to “Dot Com”, we thought we’ve seen the most… unique names around but we were wrong.
A couple has just named their newborn baby, HTML.
Yes, HTML.

When a couple from Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines, were blessed with a baby boy, they decided to name him “Hypertext Markup Language R. Pascual”, in tribute to his father’s career as a web developer.
Taking to Facebook, the baby’s aunt Sincerely Pascual, shared the unique name chosen by her brother Mac, and noted that the baby boy was delivered on 10th June at the Bulacan Medical Mission Group Cooperative Hospital in Bocaue.
HTML’s unique of course got the attention of the internet with many saying that it was irresponsible for the parents to name him as such and others sharing that they loved the name.
Speaking to INQUIRER.net, Sincerely shared that unique names ran far and wide in her family, so it was no surprise that her brother had named the newborn baby as such.
According to the baby’s aunt, though her brother goes by Mac, his full name is actually Macaroni, while Sincerely’s full name is Sincerely Yours.
That’s not all.
She also shared that they have another sister named Spaghetti who has two children named Cheese Pimiento and Parmesan Cheese.
They also have cousins named Design and Research.

HTML’s mum, Salie Rayo Pascual also shared with INQUIRER.net that she is delighted to have welcomed her firstborn and that their relatives were also excited about his unique name.
We hope that when he grows up, HTML will excel in the field of his namesake and more!
Welcome to the world HTML!
