The Tokyo 2020 Olympics might have ended but we are already looking forward to the Paris 2024 Olympics… and they are looking for volunteers!
If you are down to register as a volunteer with yourself or with your friends, you’d be happy to know that they are looking for up to 50,000 volunteers for the Olympics, including Malaysians!
Volunteers will have to be above 18 years old with the ability to speak at least two languages and will deal with “accommodation and accreditation, handling arrivals and departures in train stations and airports, at the official ceremonies, directing spectator flows, providing language assistance, helping to organise tournaments and a lot more.”
“All Summer and Winter Games attract a great many applications from people who want to enjoy the Olympic and Paralympic adventure from the inside,” the website wrote.
Before you rush and gather your friends to register as a volunteer, the registration will only be open in early 2023!
Volunteers will also have to give their time to the event including going for the trials that will take place before the competition.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience: an opportunity to connect with hundreds of people from countries around the world, meet people you won’t meet anywhere else, and share the excitement surrounding the world’s largest sports event.”
And who knows, you might bump into your favourite athlete at the Olympic games too!
Many people online have been asking their friends and family to join them and register as a volunteer in the 2024 Olympics with many hoping they can bump into their favourite Malaysian athletes!
