Ash and Pikachu have always been the most well-known Pokémon duo since the TV series first came out 13 years ago but the never evolving Pikachu might finally be evolving into Raichu!
The iconic Pokémon looks like it’s going to take the next step and evolve into Raichu after 23 seasons, based on the summary that was released by the broadcaster.
The summary of the upcoming episode that was posted on Twitter went viral after it was revealed that Ash’s Pikachu finally evolves “thanks to a ‘thunderstone’”!
“There's a Pikachu Outbreak-chu!! Satoshi's Pikachu finally evolves into a Raichu?!”, the summary reads. “During a new investigation, Go attempts to get a Pikachu and ends up meeting a very obliging female one!"
The summary came from the episode titled “I Got Pikachu” from the latest Pokémon anime called Pokémon Journeys that features Ash Ketchum, also known as Satoshi in Japanese, who’s joined by a new trainer called Goh.
Fans have mixed reactions over the news, with many upset that Ash’s Pikachu - who proved it can be strong even without evolving, is finally turning into a Raichu and others not believing that it will actually happen.
