Many Malaysians with family members living in different states have been restricted from visiting them after the Movement Control Order (MCO) was put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and one frontliner decided to surprise his mother after nine months!
The video went viral on Facebook showing how the policeman son who hasn’t seen his mother in nine months decided to surprise her at her nasi lemak store and it's warming our hearts!
The post read that the policeman son couldn’t meet his mother and the rest of the family because he had spent six months training in the police academy and three months being a frontliner during the MCO.
The video started with the mother packing nasi lemak and patiently waiting for her "customer" to complete his order.
While she was waiting the customer spoke and she recognised that the customer was actually her son under the cap and face mask and couldn’t hold back her tears…
The son then took off his cap and went over to hug his mother that was bawling her eyes out after finally reuniting with her son after so many months.
Many netizens commented that they were crying after watching the video with many saying it reminded them of their late mothers and how much they miss them.
One user also said that the policeman was lucky to be able to finally reunite with his mother and revealed that another policeman unfortunately passed away working on the COVID-19 operations after recruitment and couldn’t make it to meet his parents.
It’s heart-warming to see the mother and son reunite after so many months apart and the tear-jerking video makes us appreciate our mothers and family members more too!
Thank you to all our policemen and frontliners who are working tirelessly during the MCO!
