Marvel fans have been given two versions of Quicksilver over the years and the actor who played the character in X-Men is now joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)!

Evan Peters, who played the speedster Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, is reportedly joining the MCU and will appear in the upcoming Marvel series, WandaVision!

The actor has been cast for an unspecified role in the series, but fans are hoping to see him play Quicksilver, also known as Pietro Maximoff, Scarlet Witch’s brother.

While the MCU version of Quicksilver was killed off in Avengers: Age of Ultron, it is unlikely that Evan Peters’ version of the character will be taking his place, but will most likely be a cameo instead - if he’s even cast to play the speedster.

Pietro Maximoff and Wanda Maximoff are both the children of the X-Men villain Magneto in the comics, and fans have been hoping that mutants will finally be introduced into the MCU after the Disney’s buyout of Fox.

And based on reports on how the WandaVision series will lead directly into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans can only hope that the possibility of a multiverse crossover to happen!

The upcoming WandaVision series tells the story of how Wanda and Vision begin to suspect things are not as they seem as the two live their ideal suburban life that’s set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Either way we’re still excited to see what role Evan Peters end up playing in the series that’s scheduled for a December 2020 release, but the release date might be moved due to a potential production delay.

Do you want to see Even Peters appear as Quicksilver in the series? Tell us who’s your favourite version of the speedster!
