Many of us often sit for long hours, either at school or work, and research shows that sitting too long may shorten your lifespan.

Sitting for too long also affects your health, especially your memory, and even increase the risk of getting dementia.

People who sits more than 90 minutes at a stretch has a nearly two times greater risk of death than two who sits less than 90 minutes at a stretch.

Being on a chair for long hours is also tied to physical health issues such as heart attack, cancer and early death.

So try your best to sit less than 30 minutes at a time and take a movement break because sitting for long hours will shorten your lifespan no matter how much you exercise.

Sit less, move more!
