Rihanna isn’t here for unsolicited opinions about her children. The 37-year-old singer and business mogul recently shut down an Instagram critic who took issue with the names of her two sons, RZA, 2, and Riot, 9 months. After posting a heartfelt tribute to her little ones on International Women’s Day, Rihanna didn’t hold back when a commenter chimed in with negativity.

The post, which reflected on the powerful experience of motherhood, read: “By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman… my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay 1- RZA, 2- Riot Rose. And yes, I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses… don’t ask, a lot was happening.”
While thousands of fans praised Rihanna for her candid and stylish approach to motherhood, one Instagram user, @tatianagalaxxy, decided to weigh in with a less-than-enthusiastic take: “I hate their names so bad.”
Rihanna’s response? A simple but cutting “Ok, Tatiana.”
The mic-drop moment quickly went viral after Pop Base reshared it on X (formerly Twitter), with fans celebrating Rihanna’s quick wit.

“Imagine coming for Rihanna and thinking you’d win,” one user wrote, while another added, “Rihanna remains a queen in every situation.”
However, not everyone saw the humor, with some defending the original commenter. “Tatiana is actually a nice name,” one user noted, while another questioned if Rihanna’s comeback was all that clever. Still, the majority of fans applauded the singer’s no-nonsense attitude.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who have been together since 2019, typically keep their family life out of the spotlight. However, in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna offered a rare glimpse into their household, gushing about her sons’ personalities.
“RZA is just an empath. He’s so magical. He loves music, melody, books, water—anything from bath time to the beach,” she shared. As for her youngest, Riot? “He’s hilarious. When he wakes up, he starts to squeal and scream—not in a crying way, he just wants to sing. He’s my alarm clock!”
The couple recently made headlines for standing strong as a family during A$AP Rocky’s legal battle. The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faced two felony charges related to an alleged 2021 shooting incident. He maintained his innocence throughout the trial, rejecting a plea deal and ultimately being found not guilty on February 18, 2025.

Following the verdict, the rapper reportedly made a lighthearted promise to his lawyer, Joe Tacopina. “Rihanna and Rocky grabbed me and said, ‘Listen, our next baby is A$AP Joe.’” The lawyer laughed, replying, “I’m going to hold you to that.”
Whether or not baby “A$AP Joe” ever becomes a reality, one thing is certain—Rihanna isn’t letting anyone’s opinion dictate her life or her family’s choices.
