Rihanna is adding another little one to her growing family — and she made the big reveal in signature style. The 37-year-old music and fashion icon confirmed she’s pregnant with her third child with A$AP Rocky at the 2025 Met Gala, turning the star-studded event into a headline-making moment.
Before even hitting the red carpet, Rihanna’s pregnancy was made public through a striking photo posted by her longtime photographer, Miles Diggs. The image showed the “Love on the Brain” singer walking through the rainy streets of New York City in a monochromatic storm-gray look that put her baby bump front and center.
Rihanna's appearance capped off an already meaningful evening, as her partner A$AP Rocky served as a co-chair for this year’s gala. The 2025 theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrated Black fashion and dandyism, with fellow co-chairs including Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, and longtime organizer Anna Wintour.
Speaking with hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim on Vogue’s live stream, Rocky shared that he curated every detail of his Met Gala look — right down to his boxers — inspired by Harlem Nights. “I feel amazing. I mean, this is a dream come true,” he said, flashing his red-soled Christian Louboutins. “Tonight is so special, especially celebrating Black excellence. I’m just happy to be here.”
This marks Rihanna’s second time announcing a pregnancy on one of the world’s biggest stages. In 2023, she broke the news of her second pregnancy mid-performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.
The couple, who already share sons RZA Athelston (born May 13, 2022) and Riot Rose (born August 1, 2023), have not yet revealed any details about the baby on the way. But they may already have help picking a name — in February, Rihanna shared that Pharrell Williams was the one who came up with the name for their second son.
With another baby on the horizon, it’s safe to say Rihanna is once again redefining what a grand entrance looks like.
