Fans of Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars, rejoice because these two worlds are about to come together! Well… Sort of…
The creators of Riverdale recently announced that Katy Keene – a second spin-off based on the Archie Comics, would be heading our way soon! And for all you Pretty Little Liars fans, you’ll be excited to know that Lucy Hale has just been cast as Katy in the upcoming series!

The spinoff will focus on Katy’s life as an aspiring entertainer and her three “iconic Archie Comics” friends, Lucki Lorelei, K.O. Kelly and Katy’s sister, Sis; as they chase their dreams in New York City.
The “musical dramedy” will chronicle the origins and struggles of these four aspiring artists as they try to make it on Broadway, the runway and in the recording studio.

Variety states “the character of Katy is described as a bold, big-hearted and independent twenty-something New Yorker, who aspires to be a fashion designer. When she’s not working as a personal shopper at a luxury department store, she’s navigating friendship and dating in the big city.”
Lucy confirmed the casting on social media saying, “Well I’m slightly freaking out! Thank you @archiecomics / @writerras / @thecw / @warnerbrostv / @thatthingofwhen for trusting me to be your KATY KEENE. My heart is bursting.”
