Looks like “vengeance” won’t be coming so soon because the pandemic has got to the Dark Knight himself this time.
Robert Pattinson has been tested positive for COVID-19, halting the production for The Batman once more, Vanity Fair confirms.
The news came after Warner Bros. shared a statement saying, “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”
Filming of The Batman has just resumed shooting for a few days at studios outside of London before the 34-years-old actor was tested positive for COVID-19.
"We’re still in the middle of investigating what is the situation,” WarnerMedia boss Ann Sarnoff told Deadline.
“We’re pausing temporarily for now until we have more information, but we have all the protocols set up to do contact tracing and hopefully get back up into production very soon."
Fans are all worried and sadden by the news while others took the opportunity to make light of the situation.
The Batman’s production was previously shut down in England in March during the industry-wide shutdowns after the spread of COVID-19 took over.
Batman fans have been pumped for the movie that’s set to release October 1, 2021, after the intense first trailer was revealed at the recent DC FanDome event.
Fellow upcoming DC star Dwayne Johnson also recently confirmed that he and his “entire family” have been tested positive for the virus.
We hope Robert Pattinson makes a full recovery as soon as possible!
