Many Malaysians long to see the beautiful Sakura trees in Japan that are filled with cherry blossoms but why travel to Japan when you can find something just as beautiful in Malaysia??
Malaysia’s very own “sakura trees” are known as the Tecoma trees and also has its blooming season which occurs between February and April!
A Facebook post recently went viral after photos of “cherry blossoms” in Malaysia were posted and it looks amazing!
According to the post, the “Malaysia Sakura” can be found in Lagenda Height, Sungai Petani, Kedah and even has “white sakura” flowers!
While the “sakura” photos were photographed in Kedah, they can actually be found all over Malaysia in Penang, Kedah, Melaka, Terengganu and Johor!
Some tecoma trees hotspot includes Bayan Lepas industrial area and along Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu in Penang, along Jalan Kuala Kedah and Jalan Langgar in Alor Setar, Kedah.
Chances are, if you pay attention to the roadside while travelling in a car you can probably spot one of these beautiful “sakura” trees!
Many netizens have been sharing “sakura” spots that they’ve also spotted while others are tagging their friends and family to take their Instagram worthy photo!
